Felixton College Turned 20 Last Year!

Over 500 people arrived to celebrate this milestone birthday with the Felixton Community at the Dickson Oval on Saturday 13th August.  In line with the philosophy we have of family being important, we decided to celebrate with a picnic late in the afternoon allowing the whole family to participate.

We were delighted to have every Chairman of Council, since the inception of the school, present: Jeremy Nottingham, Brian Botes, Digby Cyrus, Russel Addison, Barry Lane, Neil Hunt and current Chair, Craig Schnell.  All joined in the cake cutting ceremony after past pupil, David Jenkins, had led us in the singing of Hapy Birthday.  The massive cake was baked by one of our parents, Niky Scherzer and expertly iced by Sheila and Lauren Neave.

A Kidzone was made available to pupils from Grade RRR - Grade 4 where the Grade 11 pupils and some adults ensured the children were well looked after while their parents enjoyed some time to socialise with their friends and other parents.

The Junior Schol choir sang beautifully to the crowds sitting on picnic blankets and deck chair and then Dave Starke, a musician from Eshowe, took to the stage to entertain the responsive audience.

A wide selection of memorabilia was sold in the tastefully decorated little shop and the items such as cooler bags, yo-yo's, t-shirts, calendars and wine were on sale.

The photo booth was busy on the evening and many happy moments were captured.

Photos are available in the GALLERY.
