Circular 05/2026

Dear Parents

As we move steadily through a busy and exciting term, I pause to take this opportunity to express gratitude for the continued support of our parent community as we work together to strengthen and grow all aspects of school life.

The purpose of this Circular is to provide parents with updates to map out the next few days.

Derby versus Grantleigh

This weekend marks an important and exciting derby fixture against Grantleigh. Download the full Junior School and High School fixture schedule.

Junior School fixtures will commence on Thursday, with combined Junior School and High School fixtures taking place on Friday and Saturday.

I take this opportunity to encourage strong support from our Felixton parent community throughout the weekend. School spirit and visible support from our families play a meaningful role in creating a memorable and positive atmosphere for our pupils.

Attendance at Saturday’s fixtures is compulsory for all High School pupils, and it is expected that all Junior School pupils also attend to support their friends and peers participating in their respective matches. We encourage everyone to wear red as we proudly support our school.

Saturday’s programme will conclude with the High School First XV rugby match, after which pupils may depart.

As always, our focus extends beyond performance on the field. This weekend presents an important opportunity for our pupils to demonstrate pride in their school through the correct wearing of their uniform, the positive connections they make throughout the day, and the respect, manners, and conduct they display while supporting their peers and playing matches. These are the qualities that define the spirit of Felixton College and reflect the values we seek to uphold.

Izingwe Sport Complex

The development of the Izingwe Sport Complex continues to make excellent progress. The shock absorber layer is being laid this week and the Dry Innovation carpet has arrived on site with installation scheduled for next week.

Careful consideration is being given to the surrounding infrastructure, particularly with regard to roadways and access in the short term. These discussions, guided by input from the architect and engineer, are essential in ensuring that future developments can be accommodated efficiently while safeguarding the long-term integrity and quality of the new astroturf surface.

The College, across all age groups, is eager to make use of this exciting new facility for fixtures and training. While a formal fixture schedule is still to be finalised, we are committed to planning a number of fixtures during Term 3 to coincide with an official Opening Ceremony, as well as traditional
matches next term. This will ensure that all of our hockey players have the opportunity to enjoy match play on the astroturf during the course of this year.

Physiotherapy Services

We are pleased to advise parents that Sam Harding (Pr No. 0906344 | PT 0106682) is now consulting from the College on Wednesdays, providing physiotherapy services within the village.

Parents who would like to schedule an appointment for themselves or for their child are welcome to contact Sam directly on 035 772 1044 or 071 247 6120. Appointments may also be arranged via email at admin@samhardingphysio.co.za.

In closing

Thank you for your continued encouragement, partnership, and support of Felixton College. The strength of our school lies in the collective commitment of our pupils, staff, and parents, and we are deeply appreciative of the role each family plays in helping us build a vibrant and thriving school community.

There is much to look forward to in the weeks ahead. With the completion of the Izingwe Sport Complex drawing ever nearer and an exciting derby weekend before us, we approach the immediate future with great optimism, anticipation, and pride in what we are achieving together as a College
community.

Kind regards

Wayne Rademan
