Dear Parents
Two years ago, almost to the day, we were about to close schools abruptly and head into the realm of Covid- driven uncertainty and enigmatic protocols. Fast forward to Friday 18 March 2022, and we find ourselves finishing our first school term of classroom academics without social distancing, full sets of sport fixtures (with spectators), cultural programmes, organised social events and functions, and all the associated stress and
anxiety to boot – since March 2020.
It certainly has been a challenge to re-establish the rhythm of school routine, but it is great to be back in the ‘almost normal’ trenches of school life.
Some flash cards for next term:
- Term 2 begins on Tuesday 5 April 2022.
- Any adjustments to Covid protocols will be communicated as necessary. Focal points for schools in this regard involve the wearing of masks, screening, and spectators at venues for organised events functions.
- Full sport and culture programmes have been set up for Term 2 and the Term Planner is included in the envelope containing your child’s report.
- The long weekends next term, unfortunately can have a negative impact on the general routine of our timetable - particularly next term - so please ensure that no extra days are taken as ‘holidays, or travelling days’ if at all possible.
- The d6 Communicator contains all the relevant information regarding school routines and schedules.
We are looking forward to socialising with parents at our sport derbies, PTA events and any other organised events and functions planned for Term 2.
Until we see each other for another busy term, enjoy the holiday with your loved ones and stay safe.
