Dear Parents
As our first week back at school ends, I find myself energised, and inspired, by the wonderful atmosphere on campus as we launch ourselves into the exciting adventures that lie ahead in 2024.

The traffic flow in the mornings, which includes the drop-offs, seems to have run relatively smoothly this week.
Thank you for adhering to the directions as stipulated in our communications through information packs and various media. The red sign boards will be taken down today, but please continue to use the same route to mitigate congestion and associated frustration.

Summary of our Grade 12 Class of 2023 IEB examination results

Our Grade 12 Class of 2023 did us extremely proud by producing a wonderful set of academic results for the IEB National Senior Certificate Examination.

We proudly boast of their 100% pass rate, in which 36 of the 38 matriculants achieved Bachelor Degree passes and 2 achieved Diploma passes. Every one of our Grade 12s from last year thus have access to post-school tertiary study.

Kelly Schnell, our Dux Scholar for 2023, topped the list of achievers with an average of 86% across all 7 subjects, each of which was a distinction. The subjects for which she achieved her 7 distinctions were English Home Language, Afrikaans First Additional Language, Life Orientation, Geography, Life Sciences, Mathematics, and Science.

Simon Scherzer averaged 82% for his subjects, achieving 6 distinctions for Accounting, Afrikaans First Additional Language, Information Technology, Life Orientation, Mathematics, and Further Studies Mathematics.

Other notable performances included Azile Hlengwa (4 distinctions), Stacey Lotter (4 distinctions; top 1% nationally for Life Orientation), Jenna Rolando (3 distinctions), and Nomvuselelo Myeni (top 1% nationally for isiZulu).

Congratulations to the pupils, parents, and teachers, who played their respective roles in this excellent achievement.

In closing, I wish our entire Felixton College community a happy, successful, safe passage through 2024.

Kind regards

Wayne Rademan
